Krishna is a former attorney with nearly a decade of experience in multifaceted litigation. She is also an experienced writer, speaker, and, for the past eleven years, a devoted mother, guide, coach, and mentor. Her background as a litigator, combined with her journey alongside her son, led to a transformative shift in the focus of her work. As she began to explore the complexities of the deeply gifted and asynchronous mind, she discovered that many of her innate abilities and acquired skills could be instrumental in unlocking the potential of profoundly gifted, neurodiverse individuals.
Through her involvement with the community of highly and profoundly gifted children and their families, Krishna became an informal go-to on topics such as giftedness testing, out-of-the-box homeschooling resources, supplementary curricula, academic structure, and accelerated class selection. Over time, she expanded her work to include one-on-one coaching in literary critical analysis, expository and creative writing, and public speaking, presentation, and debate skills. A key aspect of her approach also involves helping children develop executive functioning skills—a game changer for taking academic success and personal well-being to the next level.
This work eventually inspired the creation of Lyceum Gifted, where Krishna offers many of these services on a broader scale. Currently, Lyceum Gifted focuses on providing executive functioning, literary analysis, writing, and public speaking classes for children ages eight to seventeen, as well as academic consulting for children, parents, and education professionals seeking to better understand and support the needs of gifted minds. Krishna’s passion and ultimate goal are to help students create a well-rounded approach to education, optimize their talent, and foster the confidence that comes from a structured, joyful work ethic, curated resources, and a supportive environment.
When she's not immersed in the work at Lyceum Gifted, you'd most likely find Krishna training for her next marathon or tucked away in a cozy café with a great book!
